RESCUE WORKERS AT GROUND ZERO 20" x 16" Oil on Masonite This painting was awarded the PEOPLE'S CHOICE award at the Fall Theme Exhibition, Worthington Area Art League, October 2002 |
RESCUE WORKERS AT GROUND ZERO The images of September 11, 2001 will always remain vivid in our memories. After several days of images both print and electronic. I remebered a particular TV report. All you could see were clouds of thick dust. There was a shimmers of light peeking thru the dust, like fireflys on a warm summer's night. These glimmers of light were the reflective bans on the rescue workers uniforms. This scene seemed to have summed up the courage of these brave men and women. |
